Cabinetry is the Foundation of Your Kitchen
October 2, 2012The Trend That Won’t End: White Kitchens Are Back… Again! – Ashley Scherch, Interior Designer, Cabinets & Designs
October 16, 2012When it comes to bells and whistles, kitchen appliances can get all the love. Cooktops that are easier to clean, ovens that cook faster and more evenly, and refrigerators with all manner of customizable settings—these are the kinds of things we read a lot about on blogs, and in home improvement articles. But we are going to let you in on a little secret—there are some pretty amazing things happening in one particular—and more private—room in your home: your bathroom.
We were recently inspired by a presentation from the people at Geberit, a company whose bathroom innovations are raising the bar for bathroom trends from both a design and a performance standpoint. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights we took away from our time with the people at Geberit.
Creating Spaces
With so many companies focused on the huge, luxury bathroom, Geberit is taking the time to remember the customer whose bathroom space is limited. Small spaces do not prohibit the homeowner from creating a luxurious powder room experience, and with that in mind Geberit has created a wall-hung toilet which hides plumbing, saves space, and improves hygiene and water savings. In addition to a more streamlined aesthetic, a wall-hung toilet is easier to clean around, and underneath.
The wall-hung toilet does not limit you in terms of aesthetics; Geberit offers eleven styles for you to choose from, so you can enhance your bathroom décor. The units attach to the wall, at four points, onto framing studs; draining and venting are the same as a conventional, floor-mounted toilet. You can also choose from a wall-mounted flush panel or pneumatic push button, as well as single- or dual-flush capability.
Imagine a cleaner, more efficient bathroom with a single, simple change. To learn more about Geberit wall-mounted toilets, stop in to see us at Cabinets & Designs.
