Silestone Sponsors MoMA Exhibition Counter Space: Design and the Modern Kitchen
September 29, 2010Halloween Memories
October 12, 2010October is traditionally the most popular month for homeowners to renovate their kitchens and bathrooms. That is why the National Kitchen and Bath Association has designated it National Kitchen and Bath Month. To celebrate, throughout the month, Cabinets & Designs will share some of our favorite tips, tricks (and treats), and inspiration.
According to many real estate agents, renovating your kitchen and bathrooms provides your greatest return on investment when selling your home. Considering these rooms are the work-horse of your home, the enjoyment you’ll get when you use them after the renovation is the real pay-off.
Imagine your morning routine. You wake up, stumble to the bathroom to brush your teeth. Next, you make your way to the kitchen to make your coffee and eat your breakfast. Then, it’s back to your bathroom to shower. After your shower, you go back to the sink to shave or put on your make-up. Then, a trip to your closet to hang up your robe and get dressed. Back to the kitchen to make lunch for yourself or the kids.
Practically your whole morning is spent in the kitchen or the bathroom. What about when you get home from work? You go to your closet and put on more comfortable clothes. Then, wash the day off your face and hands. You head to the kitchen to make dinner. These days, you probably eat in the kitchen, as well. After dinner, you do the dishes. Perhaps you give the kids a bath. Perhaps its been a hard day and you need a long, hot bath. Chances are, when you’re not in bed or on the couch, you’re in the kitchen or bathroom.
It’s no wonder homeowners are looking for comfortable, functioning, and beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. So, this October, start making your kitchen and bathrooms rooms you look forward to using. Soon, they will be your favorite (and possibly, one day your most profitable) rooms in the house.
