Recently, the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) celebrated the 25th anniversary of the founding of the local chapter on 2001 and recognized early pioneers in the Kitchen & Bath Industry.
David B. Steffan, Sr., my father, was one of the founding members of the AIKD (American Institute of Kitchen Dealers) in the early 1960’s. In 1968 they established the CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) Program to set a standard for excellence in design, technical and planning skills within the industry and he was the 78th person to achieve the prestigious designation.
In 1983 AIKD became NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and Cabinets & Designs continues to set a standard for excellence in the industry…
